US Vehicle Tax Calculator

A free car sales tax calculator for all 50 US states + DC. The problem: when you buy a car, the price on the windshield isn't what you pay. Sales tax, title, registration and local fees can add thousands, and every state calculates them differently (trade-in credits, private-sale rules, caps like South Carolina's $500 limit, Georgia's TAVT, North Carolina's Highway Use Tax...). What it does: pick your state, enter the price and trade-in, and it shows the tax, title and registration fees and your out-the-door price in seconds. No sign-up. How I made it: every state's rules are stored as data and checked against the official DMV/revenue sources (linked on each page). A static site generator in Node.js builds 175 pages, and a test suite runs 6 buying scenarios for every state before each deploy. Hosted on Cloudflare Pages.
