BatchKnow

I built BatchKnow to help people read the batch codes printed on cosmetics, skincare and perfume. Choose a brand and enter the code to look up manufacturing dates, expiry dates, or both, depending on the brand. Codes that repeat across years can show alternative dates. The website is free and requires no account. The iPhone app also reads codes from photos and lets you confirm or edit the text before checking it. Dates are estimates: follow the expiry date and period-after-opening guidance on the packaging. The website uses WordPress and JavaScript.
