AI Photo Edit

AI Photo Edit is an AI photo editor where you change a photo by describing the edit in one sentence: "change the denim jacket to a red leather jacket", "make it golden hour", "restore this old photo". The problem: most AI editors either need you to mask and tweak settings, or they redraw the whole picture and the person ends up with a different face. I wanted something where only the part you describe changes and everything else, especially the face, stays the same. How I made it: every edit goes to an image model with an extra instruction to keep the rest of the photo untouched. You can pick between two models, Nano Banana 2.1 and GPT Image 2.5, since they're good at different things. If one provider is slow or down, the request falls back to another one automatically. On top of the main editor there are focused tools for changing backgrounds, outfits and hairstyles, restoring old photos and combining images, each with ready-made prompts so you don't have to write your own. Stack: TanStack Start + React 19 on Cloudflare Workers, D1 with Drizzle for the database, R2 for images, Better Auth for sign-in, Stripe for payments, Tailwind for the UI.
