Time Perception Test
Time Perception Test is a browser-based challenge that asks a simple question: how accurately can you judge time without looking at a clock?
I built three ways to explore this.
In Target mode, you try to stop a timer when you think a specified duration has passed. Reproduce asks you to experience an interval and then recreate it from memory. Compare presents two intervals and asks you to identify the longer one.
The timer stays hidden while you make your judgment, so you have to rely on your own sense of time.
After each attempt, the page shows how close you were to the target or whether your comparison was correct.
It's a different kind of challenge from reaction time testing, and one I wanted to keep simple, with no distracting countdown or progress bar.
Free to use, directly in your browser.
