ImgPilot.app
ImgPilot is an AI photo editor and image generator in one workspace (https://imgpilot.app). Upload a photo and describe the change in plain English: "put the bottle on a mossy forest rock", "change the dates to Dec 19–21", "swap the background for a beach". No layers, masks, or Photoshop skills needed. You can also start from a text prompt, send the same prompt to up to three models side by side, then keep editing the result you like by typing @ to point at that exact earlier image. Beyond prompt editing there are focused tools for background removal (including animated GIFs), old-photo restoration and colorizing, upscaling, AI clothes try-on, and short AI videos, plus a library of tested prompts.
How I made it: I'm an indie developer, and I started ImgPilot because getting a good first AI image was easy, but making the next small change without losing that version was not. Each AI model is good at different things, so the core became a single chat where every result stays connected: compare models on the same inputs, pick one, refine it. The credit cost is shown before every run, and failed jobs are refunded automatically. New users get free starter credits, and simple tools like the image converter run entirely in the browser.
Stack: Next.js 16 (App Router) + React 19 + Tailwind CSS v4, deployed on Cloudflare Workers via OpenNext, with R2 for image storage and Cloudflare Queues for long-running generation jobs. Postgres with Drizzle ORM, Better Auth for sign-in, and Stripe/Creem for payments. Models include GPT Image 2, Nano Banana Pro, and Flux Kontext, called through Kie.ai and Replicate with automatic fallback between providers. Translations in English, Chinese, and Spanish.
