Simple Invoice Generator — a free invoicing tool for freelancers and small businesses. The problem: freelancers often pay for expensive accounting software just to send a single invoice. Most tools demand a setup flow, a bank connection, and a credit card before you can even create your first invoice. The solution: sign up (Google or email), build a professional invoice in minutes, export to PDF, and send it to your client by email. No setup, no credit card. It auto-calculates tax and discounts, keeps a client list, and tracks payment status. How I built it: I started from one idea — the shortest possible path from “I need an invoice” to “invoice sent.” The whole focus was zero-friction onboarding and a clean, intuitive editor with no wizards or clutter.
