The Reverse Sales Tax Calculator is a free tool for Canadian contractors that pulls the tax back out of a price that already includes it - enter a tax-included total and province, and it breaks out the pre-tax amount and the tax paid. Unlike a basic GST/HST-only calculator, this one also handles PST, RST, and QST where they apply on top of GST/HST (British Columbia, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, and Quebec), with a toggle for whether provincial tax is included. Covers all 13 provinces and territories, with a full historical rate table back to 2013. No sign-up required, runs entirely in the browser.
